1. Acceptance of Terms

By using NutriSnap, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply to the NutriSnap web app provided by BonillaTechSolutions LLC.

2. Description of Service

NutriSnap is a personal nutrition tracking Progressive Web App (PWA) that helps users log food, track macronutrients and micronutrients, monitor water intake and exercise, and receive general wellness coaching through an AI chat assistant.

3. Medical Disclaimer

NutriSnap is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. The calorie, macro, and micronutrient data presented in NutriSnap are estimates derived from third-party food databases and may not be accurate for every food item or preparation method.

• NutriSnap is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional counseling.
• Do not use NutriSnap to manage a medical condition without consulting your doctor.
• If you have a health condition affected by diet (diabetes, kidney disease, eating disorders, cardiovascular disease, etc.), consult a registered dietitian before using any nutrition tracking app.
• The AI Snap Buddy assistant provides general wellness suggestions only and is not qualified to give medical advice.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of data you enter (food portions, weights, exercise)
• Not using the app as a substitute for medical care
• Keeping your device secure — since all data is stored on-device, device security is your responsibility
• Using the app in a way that does not harm your health

5. Calorie and Nutrition Data Accuracy

Nutrition data in NutriSnap comes from:

• A curated database of common foods
• Open Food Facts, a crowdsourced food database (world.openfoodfacts.org)
• TheMealDB recipe database

These sources may contain errors. Calorie counts can vary significantly based on preparation method, brand, and portion size. NutriSnap displays estimates, not laboratory-analyzed values. We are not liable for health outcomes related to calorie tracking inaccuracies.

6. AI Snap Buddy

The AI Buddy feature uses a locally running language model (Ollama) to provide general nutrition coaching. By using this feature:

• You understand that AI responses are generated suggestions, not professional advice
• You will not rely on AI suggestions for medical decisions
• You understand the AI may occasionally provide inaccurate information
• When Ollama AI is enabled, your messages are processed locally on your device only

7. Subscription Terms (Future)

NutriSnap currently offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscription terms, pricing, and billing details will be posted here when payment processing is enabled. We will provide 30 days notice before any pricing changes affect existing subscribers.

8. Intellectual Property

The NutriSnap app, its design, and original code are owned by BonillaTechSolutions LLC. Food data is sourced from Open Food Facts (ODbL license) and the USDA (public domain). You may not copy or redistribute the app without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

BonillaTechSolutions LLC provides NutriSnap "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any health outcomes, data loss, or damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use of NutriSnap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA.
